FAQs

What is Golfing in Bangalore all about?

Golfing in Bangalore is an exciting web media platform to showcase golfing in and around Bangalore. It's a dedicated portal with information on golf courses, facilities, people, events, news and newsmakers.

Is the focus only on Bangalore?

Though our focus is on golfing activities in Bangalore, we plan to cover golf courses and events in Mysore, Ooty, Kodai and maybe Chennai and Hyderabad as well. Especially because golfers in Bangalore have such a close relationship with clubs in other cities and conduct regular tournaments in the south network. But can't you get this through a Google search?

A lot happens beyond the greens of mainstream city clubs and this is something that is not really covered online or in the general press – which means you won't see it on Google as well. Golfing in Bangalore, will go beyond the scope of content from individual websites and give you a single-point dashboard for information and events.

What are the key focus areas of the website?

Interestingly, we plan to provide a fair balance between golfing and the people who are making things happen. Most of the time the "people" aspect does not get the kind of coverage it deserves. We're also going to be featuring upcoming golfing estates such as Golfshire and Clover Greens. Golfing estates are an emerging phenomenon offering playing facilities to golfers who are not club members, or club members who just can't get a slot in during weekends.

Is there something for golfers on a brief stopover in the city?

Yes, there is. We plan to give visitors information on where they can play, even if they absolutely, absolutely don't know a soul in town. We will also provide a helpline number they can call, or a dedicated mail id they can write in to, before they arrive in Bangalore. We'll take care of all the information needs they could be looking for.

Is there something for women golfers as well?

We're planning to have a dedicated reporting team to give women golfers adequate feature coverage. And this could include interviews, feature stories, event and tournament updates and tips – focused on the women golfer segment.

What about young players and people on the learning curve?

Information on coaching and facilities to learn the game will be covered adequately. So there will be information, interviews, profiling and a mini-directory of golf courses and facilities that offer coaching and training for just about anybody who wants to learn the game.
