KGA is a Par 72 course, spread over 124 acres of lush green land with sparkling blue water bodies – the topgraphy here was designed to make golf both challenging and enjoyable.

The first nine holes of the golf course were ready in December 1986 – in time for the SAARC Heads of States meeting. Three years later, in May 1989, all eighteen holes were completed, making it a championship course and in a class of its own.

In 2008, Swan Golf Designs of the UK were engaged to redesign the layout with enlarged interconnected water bodies, and raised fairways with better drainage. And the result, is an all weather golf course available to the playing members throughout the year, with a state-of-the-art irrigation system.

Facilities at the KGA include a magnificent club house, a 20-bay driving range, swimming pool, health spa, fine-dining restaurants and other indoor games, making it one of the most sought after social clubs in the country.

Among the tournaments hosted by the KGA are the Classic Masters, the National Amateur and Junior tournaments and the Hero Honda Open. Prominent among the top playing league is Chinnaswamy Muniappa, who grew up as a caddie on the course, and eventually won the prestigious Indian Open in 2009.
