![]() The final day of the Toyota Karnataka Golf Festival saw more than a hundred enthusiastic participants vying for a spot in the Indian team that will represent India at the World Golfers Championship in Durban.Sridhar Reddy displayed beautiful mastery over the game to garner 30 points and emerge the best individual scorer of the day.
Amit Luthra with a score of 37 points triumphed in the 0-5 handicap category, ahead of Bangalore boy Chikkarangappa. H. R. Srinivasan (32 points) established his authority in the 0-10 handicap category while Anand Kumar Ashiya scored 37 points to top the 16-20 handicap category.
![]() Muruganathan performed well to win the 21-24 handicap category with a score of 37 points and the day's Long Drive Challenge was won by L.
Darshan who produced a powerful stroke that landed the ball 305 yards away.The 4 winning individuals in various handicap categories shall participate in the World Golfers' Championship, and the winning team of 4 players will win a royal week-long trip on the luxurious Golden Chariot train.
![]() The winners will be felicitated and recognized at a gala dinner, held at the city's premier luxury hotel - Park Plaza, Bengaluru.
The Festival was graced by some of Karnataka's best golfers, top ranked lady player Aditi Ashok, India's No. 1 ranked lady professional Sharmila Nicollet, National Junior and Men's champion S. Chikkarangappa, star of the recent Asia Pacific bronze medal winning Indian team Khalin Joshi teeing off with celebrities Syed Kirmani, Ashwini Nachappa, G. Vishwanath, E. Prasanna, Venkatesh Prasad, Sunil Joshi and Sujith Somasunder.
